Change Project

I was commissioned by CHANGE, a leading international human rights organization, led by people with disabilities, to help them to create a photo library. The images tackle issues which affect everyone but with a slant towards learning disabilities. The first batch dealt with sexual health and relationships.

Users of the photo bank include national organizations such as NHS Trusts, Social Services and leading charities, to:

  • Create easy to read documents
  • Support people with learning disabilities to talk about sexual health issues
  • Help people with learning disabilities to develop positive relationships, recognize negative relationships and stay safe

The project was both fascinating and challenging in equal measure but turned out to be a really interesting undertaking, which combined my interests in photography and learning disability.
